- How is this different from hiring SPCs?
- It is not an alternative to expertise — it is where expertise lands. Consultants make decisions; the platform is what those decisions are recorded in, so they remain visible, owned, and maintainable after the engagement ends.
- Do we have to adopt all of SAFe®?
- No. Tailoring exists precisely because not every part of the framework applies to every context. What the platform insists on is that omissions are deliberate and recorded rather than accidental.
- Does this replace our QMS?
- It can be. Applied SAFe® is SAFe® implemented as a Lean-QMS, so the process definitions, roles, work products and tailoring rules are there from day one. An existing QMS is brought in as governed customizations; in the published case studies, the quality management team was trained to own the result.
- How long before the first ART can use it?
